Noa Gosley (b. 1999, Bordeaux, France)

I’m a visual artist based in Israel. I immigrated  from France when I was ten, and I recently completed my BFA at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.

I work mainly with painting, especially oil and oil pastel on fabric, and also with embroidery. I’m interested in the connection between the two, but I usually keep them separate within the artworks themselves, letting each medium speak in its own way.

Most of my work comes from a very personal place. I think of it almost like a kind of self-portrait, but not in a literal sense, there’s no face, just something more internal. I try to express feelings, memories, and states of being, things that are harder to define or pin down.

Growing up between France and Israel still shapes the way I work. Memories, fragments, and everyday experiences overlap, and I’m drawn to that in-between space. Between past and present, inside and outside. My practice is a way for me to stay with those feelings and give them some kind of form.
